1. Who we are

Genlinko is a software product operated by Genlinko Technologies Private Limited (“Genlinko”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in India. This policy explains what data we collect when you use genlinko.in and the Genlinko application, why we collect it, and the control you have over it.

2. The data you give us directly

Demo and contact requests. When you submit the “Book a Demo” form we collect your name, email address, and optionally your company name, LinkedIn profile URL and any notes you write.
Account data. If you create a Genlinko account we store your name, email address and account settings.
Support correspondence. Emails and messages you send us, so we can answer them.

3. LinkedIn data we access

When you connect your LinkedIn account, Genlinko may access information and content made available through LinkedIn’s APIs based on the permissions you grant. Depending on those permissions, this can include:

Your basic profile information, such as your name, headline and profile picture
Your profile content, such as your About summary, experience and skills
Posts and other content you have published from your account
Analytics and engagement metrics that LinkedIn makes available for your own content, such as impressions and engagement on your posts
Advertising account, campaign and performance data, where you connect an ad account and grant those permissions

We only access content belonging to the account you connect. Genlinko analyses your own profile, your own posts and your own campaigns. We do not scrape LinkedIn, and we do not collect or analyse other members’ private content on your behalf. You choose which permissions to grant during authorisation, and you can decline or withdraw them at any time.

4. Why we access it

We use this information to provide LinkedIn content publishing and analytics functionality. Specifically, we use it to:

Audit and score your profile, and generate rewritten summaries and headlines
Score your drafts before publication and suggest improvements
Recommend keywords and hashtags based on how your own content has performed
Publish or schedule posts to your account, when you ask us to
Report analytics on your own content back to you inside Genlinko
Build audience targeting and optimise budgets for the ad campaigns you run from your own ad account

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your LinkedIn content to train models offered to other customers.

5. OAuth tokens

Connecting LinkedIn to Genlinko uses OAuth. LinkedIn issues Genlinko an access token (and where applicable a refresh token) that represents the permissions you granted. We never see or store your LinkedIn password.

Storage. Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are used only to authenticate authorised API requests to LinkedIn on your behalf.
Scope. Tokens are used strictly for the functionality described in this policy, within the scopes you approved.
Access. Tokens are not shared with third parties and are accessible only to the systems and authorised personnel that need them to operate the service.
Revocation. Tokens expire according to LinkedIn’s rules, and are deleted when you disconnect the integration or delete your Genlinko account. You may also revoke Genlinko’s access at any time from your LinkedIn account settings, which immediately invalidates the token.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are necessary for the site and application to function, such as keeping you signed in.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use genlinko.in. It sets cookies that collect information such as the pages you view, the approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you. We use this only in aggregate, to see which pages are useful and where visitors come from. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we have not enabled Google Analytics advertising or remarketing features.

Google acts as our processor for this data. You can opt out at any time by installing Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. If we later add advertising or remarketing tracking, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

7. Service providers

We use a small number of third-party providers to run Genlinko — for example cloud hosting, database and email delivery services, and Google Analytics for website statistics as described above. They process data only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us. LinkedIn itself is a third party whose API we call on your behalf; your use of LinkedIn remains governed by LinkedIn’s own terms and privacy policy.

8. How long we keep data

We keep your account data and connected LinkedIn data for as long as your account is active. Demo requests are kept for as long as we need them to respond to your enquiry and for our records. When you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records by law.

9. Data deletion and disconnecting LinkedIn

You can remove your data at any time. There are three separate actions:

Disconnect the LinkedIn integration. In Genlinko, open Settings → Connected accounts and choose Disconnect LinkedIn. We immediately stop making API requests on your behalf and delete the stored access and refresh tokens.
Revoke access from LinkedIn’s side. You can also remove Genlinko’s access directly in your LinkedIn account under Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Other applications → Permitted services. This invalidates our token regardless of anything done in Genlinko.
Delete your Genlinko account and data. Open Settings → Account → Delete account, or email admin@genlinko.com from the address on your account. We will confirm the request and permanently delete your account, your connected LinkedIn data and any stored tokens within 30 days.

You can request deletion even if you never created an account — for example if you only submitted the demo form. Email admin@genlinko.com and we will remove your details.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, request its deletion, object to certain processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email admin@genlinko.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption of stored OAuth tokens at rest, and access controls limiting who can reach production systems. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep the data you entrust to us safe and to notify you promptly if something goes wrong.

12. Children

Genlinko is a business product and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will update the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the application.
